Your North Bay + Muskoka area Photographer.
I am a photographer, based out of Callander, Ontario. I am available to travel anywhere for weddings. My passion is elopements and intimate weddings. Even better if they're in a unique location. Capturing the moments that move you and documenting your story one photo at a time.
I have three young children, a wonderful husband, and a farm with lots of fur babies! We bought our farm in 2017 and called it Black Saddle Farm. We named our farm and my photography business after the black saddle on a German Shepherds back. In 2023, we also bought a wedding + event venue and named it Black Saddle Barn!

APPROACH
My style is outdoor focused and raw. I love capturing authentic moments rather than crafted ones. Kick off your shoes, run wild in the woods, jump in lake, and let me capture it all for you! I am interested in capturing genuine moments and feeling that come easy to you. Moments can happen in a split second, and aren't always seen. It's my goal to capture as many of those as I can so you can see what I see of you and your loved ones.

My ideal session/wedding: full of love and emotion, intimate, wild, involves nature, and anything else fun you have in mind! I want to capture feeling, rather than a perfectly staged photo.
What I look for in my own photos are those everyday moments. These moments are what I try to hold onto in my mind. I always have my camera ready so we can cherish those moments forever.

Being outside, portaging, yoga, and living life with my friends and family. I love the country, but am also a little bit city at times.
WHAT MAKES ME HAPPY
Singing and dancing make me happy even though I am NOT good at either one. Music makes my heart happy. I will likely play music during your session. You might even catch a glimpse at my sick moves.

Amanda is our first Associate Photographer. She is down to earth, caring, attentive, and has such wonderful raw talent and ease. Amanda captures authentic moments and beautiful photos. She loves to travel and is available to document your wedding anywhere.
Amanda has been fascinated by the art of photography since she was a young child. Capturing moments with her grandparents' Polaroid camera soon turned into being a photographer for her high-school yearbook.
Amanda has travelled extensively and never without a camera in her bag! Documenting her adventures, she loves capturing genuine smiles and the playfulness of people in those "informal" moments. Amanda's creativity is filled by adventure and deep, strong connections to self, others and her communion with nature. She is her most authentic self, spending time outdoors, hiking in the woods or with a cup of coffee and a good book sitting in the sun on a beach somewhere.
